Kneel before the King…Stand up for Freedom!

On July 4, 1776, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Continental Congress (Our congress at that time) adopted the Declaration of Independence, which proclaimed the independence of the United States of America from Great Britain and its king. On that day, the United States became a democracy. No longer oppressed by a king.

Kneel before the King

Our ancestors fought for the freedom that we enjoy today. Since 1776 we have had to fight to keep our freedom. In the last 241 years, millions of men, women and children have died under our flag, fighting for our freedom.

On March 3, 1931, the Star Spangled Banner was voted in as the new National Anthem by congress and President Herbert Hoover.

Our National Anthem lyrics

O say can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
O say does that star spangled banner yet wave

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave

Help Veterans by Giving Today

As you can see, this song is about the fight for our freedom. Our National Anthem is a part of our history. It reminds us of the fight that our fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters went through for the freedom we enjoy today.

History helps us understand change…The past causes the present and the future. Each individual has a history. Learning from our past is essential to the present and our future.

Through the refusal to learn history, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” by George Santayana.

Kneel before the King

There’s one solution…return to teaching our children the history of our country. The struggles and continuous fight of every American soldier and Veteran¬†have gone through for their freedom.
