WARNING!!! THIS ARTICLE IS EXTREMELY GRAPHIC…DO NOT LOOK OR READ IF YOU HAVE A WEAK STOMACH OR DON’T WANT TO SEE DEATH OR BODILY INJURY OF A HUMAN BEING!!! YOU HAVE BEEN OFFICIALLY WARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you even imagine…after going to war, getting injured, coming home and ending up homeless like this! He feels ashamed that he must beg for help! Yet, he is not asking for a place to live or even food! He is asking for help to get the prosthetics that he needs, simply to feel like a whole person again! To this man, the dignity to be able to walk around like a normal human being, is more important to him then food or shelter!!!
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live without arms or legs?
Unable to feed yourself, need help just totake shower, can’t even wipe your own butt?
Can’t work! Applied for your disability months ago but still haven’t gotten the determination of the status of your claim?
What would you do? How would you live? Most of these Wounded Veterans are ending up on the streets of our country homeless begging for our help!
Do you help?
Throw a little change in the cup?
Maybe give them something to drink or some food?
Do you ignore them like they are the plague and walk on the other side of the street?
Walk by them and spit on them?
Tell them to get a job, as if they could?
Have you ever put yourself in their shoes?
AS I SAID BEFORE THIS IS EXTREMELY GRAPHIC, LEAVE THIS PAGE NOW IF YOU DON’T WANT TO SEE AND HEAR ABOUT WHAT THESE VETERANS ENDURED!!! NOW IS YOUR CHANCE TO IGNORE IT!!!!!
Have you ever experienced some of the things that they have? Like this…
To watch your brother in arms get injured. To see the suffering and then watch some die and others live on without arms and/or legs, deformed in many ways. Most people have never experienced anything like this. That is why they cannot phathom the pain and suffering that our military men and women have endured, and still endure!!!
To live on without your legs and arms, how would you cope?
It’s hard enough with the Veterans that have families that care about them and take care of them.
But what about the Veterans that have no family to help them?
Can you honestly continue to ignore this American Tragedy?
I can’t! So, I am doing something about it. But I need your help. Just $5 makes a difference!
The American Homeless Families Foundation is committed to “Saving Our Veterans” from starvation and homelessness. We are opening a homeless shelter for our Veterans in Dallas, TX. Once we have temporary shelter for our Veterans, we will begin purchasing foreclosed homes, renovating them with handicap features and placing them in permanent housing.
We plan on doing this in 50 communities across the US. In our opinion this is the only solution to caring for our homeless Veterans, who are presently suffering in the streets of our country!
The VA ran out of HUD-VASH Housing Choice Vouchers in late May, 2014. So, the Veterans that have been left on the street and the one’s that end up on the street after this, are shit out of luck! The VA can’t help them until they get more funding!
This is exactly why the American Homeless Families Foundation is stepping in to care for our own Veterans.
The U.S. Census reports the US population is 317,297,938. With an Adult population of 225,915,250. The Conference of Mayors in December 2013, stated that the Annual Point-In-Time Count of Homeless People reports 610,042 homeless with an estimate 25% are veterans.
If every adult in the United States ate just 1 dinner a month at home and gave the $10, that they saved, to shelter and feed our homeless. It Would Cost Less Then .0126% of the National Debt to Rescue All 610,042 Homeless People.
That’s JUST 33.3 CENTS A DAY!
The US Conference of Mayors, December 2013, Hunger and Homelessness Survey, of the 25 largest cities in the US, the Point-In-Time annual count of homeless. Total number of homeless individuals increased 52% over the past year, according to the survey. There’s been a 40% increase in Los Angeles and a 24% increase in Dallas, just to name a few. The impact ofcuts in SNAP benefits created the inability of food assistance programs to meet the increased demand. Homelessness is caused by disability, unemployment or the lack of affordable housing.
